Renault considers giving up on joint development of 2014 Smart with Daimler

According to an agreement reached when Renault and Daimler first formed an alliance, the future Smart model will share the same platform, similar engine and electric drive system with Renault Twingo, Daimler will produce two versions through the Hambach plant in France.
