The large-scale production of ammonia plants has become a mainstream trend at home and abroad. In recent years, the scale of new installations in foreign countries is in the range of 300,000 to 700,000 tons, and the scale of new installations will continue to expand in the future. The large-scale development of synthetic ammonia in domestic companies is also very rapid. At present, there are more than 40 enterprises with an annual output of more than 300,000 tons, accounting for about 50% of the country's total output. Now, domestic companies have invested in building 30-52 and 45-80 devices. For example, the 60-80 device that Zhengzhou Zhengyuan started construction in Huanghua Port recently has reached a world-class scale.

The construction of these devices has greatly promoted the development of our country's synthetic ammonia industry, which has not only enhanced the market competitiveness of the nitrogen fertilizer industry, but also has driven the core link in the installation – the coal gasification unit has developed towards energy-saving. Today, traditional fixed-bed gasifiers are gradually being replaced by new low-energy coal gasifiers. In addition, the construction of large-scale installations has also led to technological progress and energy-saving and emission reduction of other ancillary equipment.

However, experts believe that the development of purely large-scale equipment has brought about some problems in promoting the progress of synthetic ammonia technology, optimizing processes, and comprehensive energy utilization. For example, some enterprises make furnaces or small furnaces, and other supporting devices are also old ones, but the capacity is continuously expanding. This causes a mismatch between the process and the device, and does not achieve the energy saving and consumption reduction that a large-scale device should achieve. Level.

Kong Xianglin, honorary director of the China Nitrogen Fertilizer Industry Association, pointed out at the meeting that in the process of development of the nitrogen fertilizer industry in China in recent years, many companies have grown up and have gone to large-scale new installations, but the “refined carving” of the installations is not enough. The problem that currently prevails is the increase in size, and in particular, the energy consumption level of coal-fired new coal gasifiers is not satisfactory. Analyze the reasons, there are problems of system purification and the rational use of resources. At the same time, there are also problems that synthetic ammonia and methanol devices are not matched enough, are not optimized enough, are not advanced enough, and do not fully meet the requirements for large-scale equipment, so each process and equipment of a large-scale device The comprehensive utilization of energy has yet to be explored by the entire industry.

In the large-scale manufacturing field of synthetic ammonia plants, Hebei Yangmei Zhengyuan Chemical Group became a rising star. The 2.4-meter synthetic ammonia system developed by its subsidiary Zhengyuan Tower has been successfully operated in Shijiazhuang Zhengyuan Chemical Fertilizer. The tons of ammonia coal consumption has been reduced from 1.223 tons to 1.164 tons, and the ammonia synthesis reaction heat utilization rate is as high as 90% or more. Or better than design indicators.

Yu Zifang, an expert on nitrogen fertilizers, pointed out: “The great synthesizing systems developed by Zhengyuan Tower, Nanjing Guochang, and Hunan Anxu each have their own characteristics, and their energy consumption is getting lower and lower, but there is still potential to be tapped. Advocating energy conservation and emission reduction is related to our own survival issues, is our social responsibility, and is also the main work our nitrogen fertilizer industry needs to do.”
