Mexico's auto parts industry ranks fifth in the world

According to Oscar Albin, chairman of the automotive components industry in Mexico City, Mexico has now become the world’s fifth-largest importer of auto parts and raw materials, and its products are mainly supplied to automobile assembly plants in Mexico. Last year's transaction volume has reached 35 billion U.S. dollars, which also reflects the potential of the automotive parts industry will further promote the development momentum of the country's suppliers.

As of the end of last year, the output value of the industry exceeded 46%, that is, 75 billion U.S. dollars, and the output value in the next six years is expected to reach 90 billion U.S. dollars.

According to Marcelo Lopez Sanchez, Secretary of the Sustainable Development Department of Crerota, the development prospects of Level 2 and Level 3 products (designed goods, such as screws) are the greatest.

He said that there will be about 300 automotive-related companies settled in Crerotota. The ability to attract so many companies to this development is mainly due to the country’s strategic geographical advantages, as well as its own professional technicians and engineers.
