China Railway Baogong's First Plateau Rail Car Successfully Delivered to Qinghai-Tibet Railway

Recently, the plateau railcar developed and manufactured by China Railway Baogong Xintie Road Maintenance Machinery Co., Ltd. has successfully completed all testing phases and has been delivered to the General Headquarters of the Qinghai-Tibet Railway Construction Project. This advanced railcar represents a significant breakthrough in China's domestic railway construction technology, filling a critical gap in high-altitude rail transport solutions. The vehicle is a powerful four-axle railcar equipped with a hydraulic transmission system, showcasing China's growing capabilities in specialized railway equipment. It features a V-type turbocharged air-cooled diesel engine with an output of 386 kilowatts, ensuring strong performance even under extreme conditions. The railcar is designed for independent operation and can also be connected with semi-rail vehicles, offering greater flexibility in field operations. To address the unique challenges of high-altitude environments, the railcar is equipped with low-temperature start-up systems and temperature control mechanisms that ensure reliable performance in cold weather.
