·The United States recalled more than 50 million vehicles and recalled 2.1 million vehicles in China

Recently saw a figure, the United States market in 2014, a total of 52 million cars were recalled, accounting for 20% of the total car ownership, setting a new record (the last record was 30.8 million in 2004). It was incredible to see this number initially, but it was true when it was analyzed.
The latest figure is 53.152 million, foreign media marveled at the surge in US recalls. In 2013, the number of US car recalls was 19.629 million.
This is mainly due to two reasons: GM has a large number of recalls due to the ignition switch (the recall has reached nearly 30 million); Takata's “problem airbag” has triggered a global global recall (17 million vehicles), of which the hardest hit is the US market. Both of these properties are extremely bad, and they are not concealing quality problems for a long time, causing extremely serious impact.
Earlier this year, the US Traffic Safety Administration warned consumers online: "Ignition switch failure is a serious safety hazard. Consumers should follow the general advice and do not hang other items other than the car key on the car key ring. After receiving the general mail notification, the owner should immediately turn in the car for repair, and can also contact GM to enjoy the free trailer service." It is said that in some general-purpose vehicles, only the weight of the key ring may cause the ignition switch to come out of the starting position. The engine is turned off, the power supply is stopped, and most of the electrical components in the car are turned off, which also causes the airbag system to stop working. Bloomberg analysts said that the US Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) recorded at least 18,000 key ignition switch failures. The key sometimes turns because of the driver's knee touch, the bumps on the road, and the heavy key pendant, causing the car to stall.
On April 1st, GM executives attended the US Congressional hearing. The GM's internal documents released on the same day showed that GM had considered ignition switches with hidden dangers for Saturn Ion and Chevrolet Cobalt as early as 2005. Repair, in which the cost of repairing each car was 57 cents, and also included processing costs of $400,000, in order to save this cost, GM finally decided to postpone the repair of these parts.
The media revealed that GM “up to the top management, down to the engineer” learned about this failure in 2001. The supplier Delphi had informed GM in 2002 that the part did not meet the general performance specifications. According to an email from an early general internal engineer, an engineer named John Hendler stated that his team was prepared to continue using the ignition switch that was in danger and was approved by General Motors at the time. In the past 13 years, GM has not been informed of this issue, and has not taken appropriate measures to allow the development of the event, which eventually led to 47 car accidents and 13 deaths. It was not until February of this year that it was recalled.
For more than a decade, GM has repeatedly received complaints from consumers for this reason. After the public recall, GM has been involved in dozens of lawsuits because of this problem. At present, at least 37 lawsuits against general ignition switch vehicle recalls have been submitted to 17 different federal courts in the United States.
The US government said that GM will be subject to more scrutiny by federal regulators, including the US Department of Justice, Congress, and NHTSA.
In October of this year, Takada submitted a report on airbag issues to the US Highway Traffic Administration (NHTSA) for the specific details of airbags and the factory and date of production of airbags between 2008 and 14 years. The US "New York Times" recently reported that Takada had discovered defects in airbag products when it conducted product testing in 2004, but the employees who discovered the problem did not receive notification from the upper management about the defective products.
According to Reuters reported on November 21, since 2008, the world has recalled millions of Takada hidden airbag vehicles. The airbag inflator produced by Takada is prone to explosion when the vehicle collides, and the splashed metal fragments can endanger the safety of the occupants. Many automakers using Takada airbags, including Honda, Toyota, Nissan, Mazda and BMW, have launched the largest number of airbag recalls in history since 2013. Among them, Honda is the most affected. The models involved in Takata's airbag problems include the 2001-2003 Accord, Civic, Stream, CR-V, Fit, Odyssey, Pilot, etc., which are sold in the Americas, Europe, and Japan. Models, this year's recall in the United States has reached 5.566 million units, second only to GM, ranking second.
According to foreign media reports, the Gaotian airbag incident has long been a symptom. On May 16, 2009, the 18-year-old girl from the United States, Eshley Paheim, drove a 2010 Honda Accord to pick up her younger brother. In the school parking lot, the car collided with another car. After the airbag is deployed, the girl is scratched by a piece of metal ejected from the balloon. A female car owner in Georgia, USA, sued GM. Her Chevrolet Cruze blew the airbag in a minor collision in October 2013. The airbag bounced and released a huge force that caused her to blind her eyes. The lawsuit ended with reconciliation. On October 2 this year, after a traffic accident in Orlando, USA, the 51-year-old victim was killed because of invalid treatment. The 2001 Honda Accord she was driving collided with another car, and the spiked pieces that were splattered after the airbag detonated hit the dead man's trachea.
Japan’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism has set up a special working group to handle airbag-related recalls and urged automakers to expedite the replacement of gas generators produced by Takada that may have safety hazards. Of the 2.37 million recalled vehicles associated with Takada airbags in Japan, approximately 1.37 million have been recalled.
The NHTSA initially stated that approximately 4.7 million vehicles were affected in the United States, but subsequently increased the number of affected vehicles twice. The agency confirmed that 10 car manufacturers have used Takada car airbags and 7.8 million cars need to be recalled.
The US Senate held a hearing on the 20th and Gao Tian’s cadres apologized. At the hearing, some members also questioned the representatives of Takada Corporation, whether they plan to expand the current recalls mainly for several southern states to the whole country. Takada said that it believes that the US authorities have made a report on the hidden dangers of high temperature and humidity. At this stage, there is no plan to expand the scope of the recall.
According to reports, the first anniversary of the implementation of the Regulations on the Recall of Defective Auto Products on January 1, 2014, the number of Chinese car recalls has reached a record high in this year. 133 vehicles involved 5.311 million vehicles, an increase of 65.8%. From September this year to September 30, the country has recalled 125 vehicles and recalled 2.135 million vehicles. China's car sales are the world's number one, but the annual car recall is one-tenth of that of the United States, and it is certainly not possible to conclude that China's car quality is very good.
At present, the global car recalls have generally increased. One of the reasons is that in order to reduce costs, auto companies are desperately trying to reduce the price of spare parts. For example, Nissan proposed a “20% plan to save procurement costs” in 1999. In the second year, Toyota proposed savings. 30% of the goal. A concern in the Chinese auto market is that the price of joint venture products goes down. The main measure is to reduce the price of supporting parts, and the price of parts will drop to a certain level, which will threaten the quality.
FAW Volkswagen's new Sagitar, which was launched in March 2012, has multiple reductions compared to the old models: the three-section hinge of the door is shrunk, the hydraulic bracket of the trunk is changed to mechanical, and the front and rear cover is insulated. The multi-link independent suspension is replaced by a torsion beam type non-independent suspension. This modification to the suspension structure is intended to save costs but introduces quality hazards.
The US auto market is in a frenzied rain, and the Chinese auto market is calm, which is very abnormal.

Bearings are the groundwork for auto transmission parts. Auto Bearing, although is a small part, it has a close relationship with reliability, security and comfort of the whole vehicle.

Bearing has two main functions. One is that shock absorber can be rotation with the wheel to keep the steering flexible when the vehicle steering. Second, the outer ring of pressure bearing is rubber products, which keep the soft connection between body and shock absorber. That is to prevent vibration damper to the body when the road is tough.
