New and old school bus national standard has changed

Among them, the light-duty special school bus with a length of more than 5 meters and less than or equal to 6 meters is more than 6 meters and less than or equal to 12 meters. The school bus that will be “named” realizes the seamless management of students going to and from school, and guarantees the safety of students in all aspects.

According to incomplete statistics, there are about 230 million primary and middle school students in China. According to the policy of going to school, there are still 90 million primary and middle school students who need to take the school bus to and from school. According to the calculation of 40 people per car, there may be more than 2 million vehicles. The sales volume is only 400,000 units. The "school bus" used to pick up and drop off children to school is only 285,119, of which only 29,000 are qualified, and the pass rate is 10%. Therefore, the school bus market has also become a big cake in the eyes of many well-known bus companies in China. Internationally renowned companies including Changan Automobile, Xiamen Jinlong, Ankai, FAW, Yutong, SAIC Datong and Shuchi have set their sights on this market.

However, as far as the current situation is concerned, there are still many problems in the implementation of school bus safety standards. According to the relevant provisions in the revised version of the School Bus Safety Regulations, the operating period of the school bus is 8 years. If the relevant content in the final version is unchanged, then the profit within the time limit may be very difficult. Who will subsidize this part of the cost? In addition, whether the financial subsidies for school buses will shrink due to different regional economic developments, many problems have still not been resolved.
