Asahi Kasei has a total production capacity of 950,000 tons/year of acrylonitrile, of which the 300,000 tons/year plant of Tong Suh Petrochemical, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ulsan, South Korea, is operating at full capacity, while Japan Kawasaki has 150,000 tons/year of equipment.
