In recent years, the Sugarcane Institute and the Australian Federal Academy of Sciences and the Australian Sugar Industry Test Administration have carried out large-scale scientific and technological cooperation on the use of molecular biotechnology for sugarcane germplasm improvement and utilization, and have made good progress. At present, sugar cane breeding science and technology personnel have gone to Australia to study drought-resistant technology.
