Waukegan 2-11 on 11-5-10

Jeff Rudolph captured the second alarm tender box yesterday in Waukegan and shared a few photos. The fire occurred on November 5th, 2010, at 2:00 PM. It was located at 5666 W. Victor Lane, in the far southwest corner of the district. The area is not equipped with hydrants, so crews had to rely on water supply from tankers. The fire was in the attached garage of a single-story frame home. The Knollwood E44 engine was used to draft water from the tenders, which were critical in getting the fire under control.

The response to this incident was a great example of regional cooperation. Multiple departments from different towns came together to support the Waukegan Fire Department, highlighting the importance of mutual aid in emergency situations. These photos give a rare look into how fire departments work together during large-scale incidents. It's always impressive to see how quickly these crews can mobilize and provide the necessary resources when they're needed most.
