Waukegan 2-11 on 11-5-10

Jeff Rudolph captured the second alarm tender box yesterday in Waukegan and shared a few photos. The fire occurred on November 5th, 2010, at 2:00 PM, at 5666 W. Victor Lane, which is located in the far southwest corner of the district. This was a non-hydranted area, meaning the firefighters had to rely on water tenders for their operations. The fire was in the attached garage of a single-story frame house. To manage the situation, Knollwood E44 was used to draft water from the tenders that arrived on scene.

The response to this fire involved multiple departments working together, showing the importance of mutual aid in areas without hydrants. Jeff’s photos give a clear look at the equipment and effort required to tackle such a call. It's always interesting to see how different departments collaborate in emergencies, especially when resources are limited.
