This 1987 Spartan chassis with an E-One body and a 55-foot Snorkel aerial device was recently auctioned off by the City of Chicago. Despite being in storage for some time, it was listed as not running, which might explain its relatively low sale price. The unit was part of the city's reserve fleet and has since been decommissioned.

It’s interesting to see how older fire apparatus is handled when it’s no longer in service. This particular unit seems to have had a long career before being sold at auction. If you're into vintage fire trucks or looking for parts, this could be a good find, even though it doesn’t run anymore.
