In January last year, Dongyang Tire Co., Ltd. invested US$88 million to establish a wholly-owned company, Dongyang Tires Zhangjiagang Co., Ltd. in Zhangjiagang, to produce passenger car and light truck tires to seize the development opportunities brought by the growth of the Chinese automotive market. It is reported that Dongyang Tire Zhangjiagang Co., Ltd. will play a decisive role as the main production base of passenger cars and light truck tires in China in the process of the Toyo Rubber Group’s efforts to build a global production and supply system.
