Fire in Wheeling, 9-13-16

Early Tuesday morning (9/13/16), the Wheeling Fire Department responded to a small fire reported at the rear of a second-floor unit in a townhouse located on Thornhill Lane. Upon arrival, firefighters quickly identified flames originating from the exterior of the building near the rear deck. Using a single hose line, they swiftly contained the damage to a limited area, preventing further spread. The incident, which occurred in the quiet suburban neighborhood, was relatively minor but served as a timely reminder of the importance of fire safety precautions.
