On the issue of emissions, more experts cited a large number of data to explain the feasibility of methanol fuel in environmental protection. In view of the corrosion problem, experts and scholars advocating the promotion of methanol fuel have the view that the problem of methanol fuel corrosion has been solved. The current approach is to use anti-corrosion materials or add fuel corrosives, methanol car engine oil and so on.
The other side of the argument believes that although methanol gasoline has been tested for such a long time, many problems remain to be resolved before it can truly meet the market. They proposed that methanol gasoline has a certain advantage in terms of price and cost, but at present, its advantages in environmental protection are not outstanding.
