Global flame retardant sales will reach US$4.6 billion in 2010
According to the latest technology market research report released by the BBC, it is expected that the demand for flame retardants in the global market will reach 1.54 million tons in 2010, and sales will reach 4.6 billion US dollars.
The report pointed out that in 2005, the consumption of flame retardants and sales volume in the global market reached 1.315 million tons and 3.5 billion US dollars, respectively, and it is expected that by 2010, it will increase at an average annual rate of 3.5% and 5.6% respectively. Due to the increase in the use of plastics, especially wood-plastic materials, the increase in the use of brominated, phosphorus-based and melamine-based flame retardants has been the largest.
