The port power grid is used to replace the ship's own fuel generator to supply electricity, and the emission reduction rate of carbon dioxide, sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides is 97% , which basically achieves zero pollution. At the same time, it can generate huge economic benefits. The cost of using a diesel engine to generate electricity for a 500 -ton ship type is 265 yuan per day ; the cost of using shore power is 27.3 yuan. Compared with the two, the cost is reduced by nearly 90% .
It is reported that the Huai'an Port Authority will continue to increase the port power supply promotion efforts, and strive to achieve more than 50% of the city's port power coverage rate and more than 70% energy-saving light source coverage during the year to ensure that Huai'an Port promotes the construction of green and low-carbon ports.
