In 2020, Delfast introduced three upgraded electric bike models: the Prime 2.0, Top 3.0, and Partner 2.0. These new versions were designed based on customer feedback, bringing significant improvements in performance, durability, and user experience.

Carbon Belt Drive

One of the most notable upgrades across all three models is the use of a carbon belt drive instead of a traditional chain. According to Delfast’s Chief Engineer, Serhii Goncharov, chains are one of the weakest points in e-bike design. They typically last only a few thousand kilometers and require regular maintenance. The carbon belt, on the other hand, offers a longer lifespan—up to 20,000 km—and eliminates the need for lubrication. It’s also lighter, quieter, and more efficient.

Top 3.0

The Top 3.0 model features a single-speed belt drive system, which simplifies the transmission and reduces mechanical complexity. This makes it easier to maintain and more reliable over time. Additionally, the rear pendulum has been redesigned to allow for easy adjustment of the belt tension, ensuring optimal performance and longevity.

Prime 2.0

The Prime 2.0 comes with a significantly improved battery that offers a 6% increase in capacity, extending the range to an impressive 370 km. The new battery is a 48V 70Ah Samsung 3500 mAh unit with a smart Bluetooth BMS, making it more efficient and user-friendly.

All models also feature a dual-beam headlight with low and high beam modes, enhancing safety during nighttime rides. This feature was added to ensure visibility in all weather conditions, including rain and cloudy days.

Partner 2.0

The Partner 2.0 model includes a powerful 1500W motor with 135 N.m torque, offering double the efficiency of previous models. It also features a dual disc front brake system for better stopping power and enhanced safety.

In addition to these technical upgrades, Delfast continues to offer flexible financing options for customers. These include PayPal for global users, Klarna and Affirm for those in the U.S., and PayBright for Canadian buyers. This ensures that more people can enjoy the benefits of Delfast’s advanced electric bikes.
