MC nylon, also known as monomer casting nylon, is a type of engineering plastic widely used across various industries. It has been applied in almost every industrial field. The process begins by melting caprolactam monomer and adding a catalyst, then pouring it into molds under atmospheric pressure to create different castings such as rods, plates, and tubes. This reduces the coefficient of friction by 50% compared to general PA6 or PA66 and improves wear resistance by up to 10 times. It is specifically designed for non-self-lubricating, heavy-load, low-speed parts, significantly increasing bearing life—five times that of PA6 and 25 times that of phosphor bronze. The lubricant within the material does not drain, adsorb, or dry out, eliminating the need for replenishment. Its uniform distribution ensures consistent performance throughout the product’s service life, enhancing wear rate, sliding friction, abrasion resistance, and stick-slip performance.
