Foreign buyers have offered billet prices to the Chinese market at around US$350/tonne this week and slabs to US$380-400/tonne. Since the price is much higher than the market price in mainland China, there are very few people in the market. Exports of Brazilian slabs to the United States are priced at US$450/t.
