The Braidwood Fire Protection District is officially starting to staff their station tomorrow, October 16th, at 6:00 AM. It’s incredible to see the effort and dedication put in by the Braidwood firefighters, administrators, and volunteers over such a short period of time. They’ve completely transformed the station—fresh paint inside and out, new garage doors, a full IT infrastructure upgrade including a brand-new data closet, deep cleaning and sanitization, and helping us organize and prepare surplus equipment for sale. We know the past five months have been challenging and stressful, but we're excited to move forward with our new partner. This marks a major milestone for Custer FPD, as we’ll now be able to provide a 24/7 staffed ALS transport ambulance to our community for the very first time in our history!
