Shaanxi drum centrifugal compressor achieves more "point" breakthrough

Occupy the high point of coal chemical industry, China is rich in coal resources, of which lignite accounts for a large proportion, but the low calorific value, poor quality and heavy pollution greatly limit its application. Lignite is easily liquefied and is the preferred coal for coal liquefaction, so it can be used for chemical production after liquefaction.
Recently, Shaanxi Drum won the bid for the first set of coal-based 200,000 tons/year ethylene glycol project raw material gas and finished gas compressor in the international bidding, which opened the door for the application of domestic compressors in the field of coal chemical industry.
It is reported that the 200,000 tons/year ethylene glycol project is a high-tech project with complete independent intellectual property rights developed by the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Shanghai Jinmei Chemical New Technology Co., Ltd. The project uses lignite as raw material to produce ethylene glycol, which is the first in the world. Therefore, after the project is successfully put into operation, it will play a positive demonstration role in the optimization of China's energy structure; and the signing of the manufacturing contract for the raw material gas and finished gas compressor of the 200,000 tons/year ethylene glycol project marks the production of Shaanxi drum. The application of centrifugal compressors in the field of coal chemical industry has occupied a commanding height.
The air compressor unit in the air separation field is on the new stage. The air compressor unit is the key supporting equipment for the air separation unit, and the air separation unit is widely used in the refining, ethylene, fertilizer, coal chemical, metallurgical and other industries. At present, the main performance parameters and technical indicators of Shaanxi Drum 40,000 to 60,000 air separation equipment have reached the international advanced level. In the next 5 to 10 years, with the construction of China's million tons of large ethylene, 10 million tons of large refinery, large coal olefins, methanol projects, and steel, thermal power generation projects, the market demand for ultra-large air separation plants will be getting bigger.
In order to seize market opportunities, in recent years, Shaanxi drum has continuously increased investment in scientific research and development, and strived to improve the design and manufacturing level of air compressor units, and achieved remarkable results. At present, it has the ability to design and manufacture compressors of 60,000 class air separation units. Its main performance parameters and technical indicators can reach the advanced level in foreign countries.
Since 2002, Shaanxi Drum has provided more than 50 sets of air compressor units for chemical and metallurgical enterprises such as Shandong Hualu Hengsheng and Jiangsu Linggu.
Deepening the research of centrifugal compressor system As the earliest enterprise in the industry to carry out research and application of system technology and complete sets of technology, Shaanxi Drum has mastered the system technology and multi-unit related to centrifugal compressor through research on process system and multi-unit. Complete sets of technology, currently designed more than 200 large units. The success of the project contracting project of the largest Jinkai Group's 270,000 tons/year nitric acid plant in China has laid the foundation for the rapid occupation of the domestic market by Shaanxi Drum Centrifugal Compressor.
At present, Shaanxi Drum has produced more than 1,000 sets of centrifugal compressors and produced more than 20 sets of nitrogen oxide compressors for nitric acid plants. It has become the only enterprise in China that can independently design and manufacture three-in-one and four-in-one units of nitric acid.
In the design and manufacture of high-pressure, special medium centrifugal compressors, Shaanxi drum has gradually changed from cooperative manufacturing to independent design and manufacturing. Among them, the fully domesticized raw material gas (natural gas) compressor designed and manufactured for the methanol plant, and the fully domesticized rich gas compressor designed and manufactured for the refinery have been put into operation by many users. Recently, Shaanxi Drum successfully won the first set of fully domestically produced 100,000 tons/year coking coal-to-methanol engineering syngas compressor unit, marking a solid step in the localization of chemical centrifugal compressors.

Gasketed plate heat exchangers, also known as gasketed plate-and-frame heat exchangers (GPHEs), provide efficient heat transfer in compact equipment with a small footprint - much smaller and more efficient than shell-and-tube heat exchangers.
Plate heat exchangers are designed to optimize heat transfer, because the corrugated plates provide by far the greatest surface area through which the heat can be drawn from one gas or liquid to the other.
The units also have a flexible design and are easy to service and maintain.

Gasketed plate heat exchangers may be the industry standard for general heating and cooling duties, but the technology inside a GPHE is far from standard. All plate heat exchangers are NOT created equal, and we've seen the consequences of choosing heat exchangers purely based on cost. We understand cost is important, but in most circumstances the costs to repair or replace units, as well as the inefficiencies of undersized units, far outweigh the upfront capital cost savings.
