To this end, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will carry out an industry-wide survey and study this year. Each locality must register the existing calcium carbide production enterprises on a household-by-household basis, and statistically summarize existing calcium carbide production facilities, as well as on-going and planned facilities. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology requires all localities to study and put forward the ideas, goals, and main measures for the elimination of backward production capacity and industrial restructuring during the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan†period.
