Product Description of Ilmenite Ore Permanent Drum Wet Magnetic SeparatorOur factory provides a range of wet magnetic separators suitable for processing strong magnetic minerals with particle sizes less than 3mm, such as magnetite, calcined ore, and ilmenite. These machines are also widely used in the coal, non-ferrous metal, and building materials industries for iron removal operations. We offer different magnetic force grades in downstream, semi-counter current, and counter current configurations. The CTB series is known for its simple design, high capacity, ease of operation, and low maintenance requirements.
2. Working Principle of Ilmenite Ore Permanent Drum Wet Magnetic Separator
The process begins when raw materials enter the tank of the magnetic separator. The flow direction of the material aligns with the rotation of the magnetic drum, causing iron-rich particles to be attracted to the drum's surface. This is the first stage of separation. In the second step, water from below flushes the materials back, creating a second separation where the material flows in the opposite direction of the drum’s rotation. As the drum rotates, the iron particles on the surface leave the magnetic field and fall into the concentrate box under gravity. Water from above further helps to wash the iron particles into the concentrate box. Non-magnetic or weakly magnetic materials pass through and are discharged as tailings.
