Recently, the Henan Coal Chemical Research Institute and Xi'an Jiaotong University jointly held a mid-term acceptance meeting for advanced equipment and technology research and development of large-scale air separation equipment. The two parties jointly implemented the development of 80,000 to 100,000 cubic meters of air separation equipment for hourly oxygen production. The project passed the mid-term acceptance.
The project includes 8 sub-topics including the development of a high-efficiency air purification system coupled with membrane separation and molecular sieves, and the design of a large-scale air separation medium-high pressure fluid turboexpander. Since the implementation of the project contract in November 2010, the project team has completed the project research content with high quality. Experts in the acceptance group believe that all subprojects of the project have reached the expected technical indicators. According to reports, all subprojects of the project are expected to be finalized by November 2012. At that time, they will fill gaps in the domestic technology field, which will be of great significance in breaking the foreign technology monopoly and realizing the localization of large-scale air separation plants. At the same time, the technological achievements achieved by the project will significantly increase the company's economic efficiency and market competitiveness after the Kaifeng air separation application.
