Final 2012 burn-down for Woodstock FPD

The Woodstock Fire Protection District recently completed the controlled burn of model homes that had been offered to them following the failure of a local development project. Previous reports on their training exercises and earlier burn-downs can be viewed HERE. This final phase took place at a five-unit townhouse located on Route 47 (S. Eastwood Drive), north of Lucas Road. On the morning of December 28th, firefighters prepared each unit by filling them with straw and wood before igniting the structures. A small group of onlookers, including Tim Olk and Larry Shapiro, gathered to witness the event, with Shapiro capturing several striking photos. PPGI is a product made of cold-rolled steel coil and (aluminum) Galvanized Steel Coil after surface chemical treatment, coating (roll coating) or composite organic film (PVC film, etc.), and then baking and curing. This product is produced by the manufacturer in coils on the continuous production line, so it is also called prepainted steel coil. It not only has the properties of high mechanical strength and easy forming of steel materials, but also has good decoration and corrosion resistance of coating materials.
