Dalian Heavy Industry successfully developed 13,000 cabinet ships
At present, only a number of large shipyards in Japan and South Korea have mastered relevant manufacturing technologies, and Chinese shipyards have not been able to develop container ships of over 10,000 TEUs. The last major design plan for the new 13,000 TEU new ship was approved by China Classification Society in October, with a total length of 365.5 meters, a width of 48.2 meters and a depth of 29.8 meters.
In the statement, the company said that as the ship design and production level continues to increase, and the new lock of the Panama Canal will be completed in 2015, the demand for large container ships will increase in the future. However, the statement did not show that any shipping company negotiated the purchase of a large container ship and did not disclose the date of completion.
